Launching the first signature chronograph from Bernard Richards Manufacture in 2003, the company’s founder combined his passion for racing and engineering expertise to create unique timepieces and establish an original brand that’s gone the distance as the only French watchmaking manufacturer. Inspired by the luxury motor-sport lifestyle, Bernard Richards is committed to crafting the ultimate wristwatches for racing enthusiasts, as well as collectors seeking rare and genuine pieces. Having learned the art of watchmaking from his family, Richards drew the attention of prominent timepiece producers, and many of the world’s most recognized companies soon relied on his craftsmanship, discreetly seeking his expertise and technical perspective. His industry experience prompted Richards to establish his own label, and he devoted two years to experimentation and development before delivering BRM’s inaugural chronograph and establishing the company’s headquarters near Paris.

Renowned for crafting complex products that competitors are unable to match, BRM combines nano-technology with hands-on assembly, and the watchmaker’s mechanical sophistication has garnered high-profile partnerships with legendary organizations including but not limited to:

  • Fiat ABARTH
  • FORZA Challenge Car Racing
  • Martini Racing (Official License)
  • Gulf Oil (Official License)
  • Corvette Racing (Official License)
  • Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR)
  • TRG-AMR (Aston Martin Racing)
  • Pirelli World Challenge
  • World Series by Renault
  • Pocono Raceway
  • Virginia International Raceway

Dedicated to quality over quantity, BRM’s peerless approach to production features dynamic technical advances including:

  • Timepieces produced without the use of pending by crafting elements exclusively through the removal of material, yielding watches with a perfectly preserved molecular structure.
  • Industry-leading cases created with 18 individual elements, versus only two to three parts utilized by most watchmakers.
  • Separate manufacturing processes for lugs and case pieces, making it possible to assemble customized watches in a uniquely diverse mix of materials and colors.
  • Dials configured from more than 20 tracings, as well as strap buckles comprised of no fewer than 12 components.
  • Hands customized and manufactured in-house, including the company’s signature design, as inspired by the perforated pedals found in racecars.
  • Manual processes for critical operations including fitting, assembling, setting, and polishing, all of which are performed by hand
